In Person Welcome Back 11/5

Join us for coffee and snacks from 8-9 am with your friends and colleagues. The indoor training session runs from 9 am-12 pm at the Jackson Gore Roundhouse. On the Agenda will be: resort updates, management team introductions, and helpful educational content.

This training will be a paid event.

Return Staff Webinar Wednesday 10/19

We are very excited to share that there will be an In Person Welcome back this year! BUT, we want to share the important details about this season ASAP. This virtual training will be from 6-7 pm and provide the necessary updates for the 2022-23 season.

This training will be a paid event. A link will be sent to all returning staff prior to the event.

Return Paid On Snow Training

This year everyone will take an on-snow paid clinic. The amount of training is based on one of these two categories:

1. First Year Return Staff - Full Day On-Snow Paid Training

2. 2nd Year Return (and Up) Staff - Half Day On-Snow Paid Training

We will share signup instructions after the fall welcome-back webinar.

Launching: the Gordon Robbins Foundation

Terry Carey has led a small team from our community of SRS staff to create an Non-Profit Educational Foundation in honor of Gordon Robbins. The purpose of the foundation is to support educational opportunities for people in the Ski & Ride School. They will be launching a scholarship application process in November and giving away the inaugural scholarships this 2022-23 season!

Can & Bottle Drive

The foundation is also holding a bottle drive. Donate your clean bottles and cans (no wine bottles) and we will add the proceeds of the deposit to the scholarship fund. Bring your clean returnables to the Wernick House on Saturday 11/26/22 & Sunday 11/27/22.

Want to improve your hip mobility (and ability to turn your legs)? Look no further. Here is a hip mobility exercise for you from Quinn Ferguson to address just that.

You may know Quinn as a fellow instructor - and he also happens to be a performance coach and personal trainer. Check him out @quinnferguson for more content.

Upcoming Elective training

Good news, we are bringing back the Training Pods. The days and locations will be exactly the same as last year. The pod schedule is already on www.instructor.snow.com you will be able to sign up starting in mid October (the password will be updated then).

GREEN POD TRAINING

- Tuesdays at Clock Tower

- Sundays at Jackson Gore

Green Pod training is for un-certified people who want to learn how to teach in the beginner and intermediate zone or want to get their level 1 certification. Sign up for the whole series with the same trainer!

BLUE POD TRAINING

- Wednesdays at Clock Tower

- Sundays at Jackson Gore

Blue Pod training is for level 1 certified folks who want to more about the beginner through the advanced zone and are interested in a level 2 certification.

BLACK POD TRAINING

- Thursdays at Clock Tower

- Sundays at Jackson Gore

Black Pod training is for level 2 certified folks and up who want to learn more about the expert zone and beyond. This includes people who want to be trainers or are interested in becoming educational members of PSIA-AASI
