Paying It Back, Paying It Forward: How One Young Alum Mentors Students
From her position at HP, Kaye Luenprakansit (MBA’15) has spent her post-Owen career mentoring first years and recent graduates, helping students successfully navigate their summer internships and job searches to earn offers at the tech giant. She also helped secure the Corporate Partnership between HP and Owen. Learn more.
Faculty Spotlight -- Kejia Hu
Assistant Professor Kejia Hu is the newest member of the Operations faculty and one of seven new faculty members joining Owen this fall. She earned her PhD from Northwestern earlier this year and has already co-authored several studies, on topics ranging from automobile emission regulations to high-speed internet and product lifecycles. Professor Burcham Takes the Stage at Center for Nonprofit Management (CNM)
As part of CNM's "CEO Conversations," Michael Burcham, the Narus Health CEO who teaches Launching New Ventures in the EMBA program, addressed 60 nonprofit executives last week. He drew on 20+ years of experience as an entrepreneur and  venture coach to urge nonprofit leaders to think like entrepreneurs. He also encouraged referrals for the Nonprofit EMBA Scholarship.

Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation

New research from Joshua T. White, Finance Professor at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management, and his co-authors examines how political uncertainty affects a firm's mandatory and voluntary disclosure properties.
