New STS Capstone Course

We’re offering a new course in the Winter quarter: STS 200Y: Reimagining Innovation: Sustainability, Democracy, and Human Dignity (4 units). This class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 – 11:50 AM. In this seminar, we will challenge traditional ideas of “innovation”, especially as shaped by technological and economic norms, and re-think what innovation could look like when we center sustainability, democratic values, and human dignity.  You can view the full course description here.

Stanford CARE Scholars Program

The Stanford Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE) is excited to announce that applications for the Stanford CARE Scholars Program are now open! The Stanford CARE Scholars Program is a year-long, virtual research program anchored by a 9-week summer research immersion, focused on training the next generation of leaders in Asian health research. CARE Scholars have the unique opportunity to collaborate with esteemed Stanford faculty, elevate their research skills, identify problems/solutions in vulnerable populations, and publish and present their findings. The application deadline is Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 11:59pm PST. The Summer Research Fellowship For Educational Impact

The Summer Research Fellowship for Educational Impact is designed to meaningfully engage undergraduate students in rigorous empirical research that addresses critical issues in education. As Educational Impact Fellows, students will gain foundational research skills within a collaborative, cohort-based learning environment, while making important contributions to educational research studies with lasting impact on policy and practice. This fully funded opportunity will align Stanford undergraduates with one of a wide array of faculty-led projects that resonate with their interests and academic backgrounds, taking a deeply interdisciplinary approach to addressing issues in education, particularly around equity. Stanford Internship Program in the Arts (SIPA)

The Stanford Internship Program in the Arts (SIPA) offers 10-week arts administration internships through both pre-arranged on-campus placements and self-designed off-campus opportunities. Eligible Stanford undergraduates (frosh–juniors) can gain hands-on experience in arts organizations while receiving a summer stipend. The deadline for pre-arranged internships is Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:59pm PST. Learn more and apply at arts.stanford.edu/sipa.

Mind Over Money

Mind Over Money is Stanford’s financial wellness program for current students, postdocs, and alumni. It provides accessible, research-informed financial education designed to encourage healthy financial behaviors and open conversations about money. The program supports your financial wellness journey through personalized coaching to help you set and reach financial goals, workshops and events that educate and engage, and a 1-unit personal finance course that builds financial capability. Wise Mind DBT-Informed Skills Group

Our emotions influence us and our relationships, and in turn, our relationships affect our emotions. This virtual Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group, sponsored by Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Vaden Health Services, is a quarter-long, workshop-style program designed to help participants identify and work with intense emotions. DBT teaches skills to understand and regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and improve effectiveness in interpersonal relationships. Each session includes mindfulness practice. This group will meet virtually during Winter Quarter 2026 and participants are expected to attend all six sessions. This program is open to current Stanford students only.
