PREPARE FOR COMMENCEMENT

Graduating Eagles — With exactly one month until the Spring 2024 Commencement, review this list to make sure you’re ready for the big day:

Purchase your regalia and graduation accessories at the UNT Barnes & Noble bookstore.
If you qualify, apply for the free Mean Green Gowns for Grads program (due to high demand, master’s regalia applications have closed).
Plan the perfect graduation photoshoot using UNT’s best campus beauty spots.
See the commencement schedule to learn when your ceremony begins.
Remember to RSVP for your ceremony by 5 p.m. Friday, April 12, and choose either the in-person or virtual option.
Send your graduation invitations to UNT’s Printing and Distribution Solutions or UNT’s Design Works for printing.

Scrappy is marking the days until finals! Kick off your finals prep at Scrappy’s Finals Countdown, a weeklong series from Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, of curated wellness and academic-focused events dedicated to supporting your success and wellbeing as you gear up for finals week.

THANK A TEACHER

Before the semester comes to an end, take some time to think about the professors, mentors and advisors who have made a positive impact on your life.

Send them a special note through the Thank a Teacher program. Log in with your EUID and write as many thank you messages as you’d like to your favorite instructors and advisors — you may choose to remain anonymous if you prefer.

FINE ARTS SERIES

Ottessa Moshfegh, author of Eileen and Lapvona, will be joining UNT at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, in the University Union Lyceum for a lecture, Q&A and book signing as the final guest of the Mary Jo and V. Lane Rawlins Fine Arts Series this semester. Tickets are free for UNT students.

Get a preview of her work at 6 p.m. tonight, April 10, in the University Union Lyceum through a showing by the Arthouse Film Series of Eileen, based on Moshfegh’s critically acclaimed novel.

FOOD FOR FINES

Pay off your parking citations this spring by donating non-expired, nonperishable food items. Transportation Services is hosting a Food for Fines program supporting the UNT Food Pantry. Bring at least 20 items in exchange for payment of tickets.

Give back to the community and clear up to three current citations (with some exceptions). Donations can be brought to the office in the Highland Street Garage between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until May 10.
