SLPS Dominate State Rankings – A Testament to Student Success |
In the latest US News & Report state high school rankings, Saint Louis Public Schools have secured the top two positions and three spots within the state's top 20. Metro Academic and Classical High School has maintained its top-ranking position for the fourth consecutive year (top 100 in the country), closely followed by Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience at the impressive second place, with McKinley Classical Leadership Academy proudly occupying the 18th spot. These rankings underscore the District's commitment to excellence, spanning various educational criteria such as college readiness, proficiency in math and reading, performance of underserved students, curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.
This collective achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication of both students and educators in Saint Louis Public Schools. Your steadfast commitment to excellence has brought great honor to our District, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations for this outstanding accomplishment.

Local and Federal Leaders Unite to Elevate Student Well-being at Compton-Drew Middle School |
Last Wednesday, Compton-Drew Middle School had the honor of hosting Secretary Miguel Cardona, Secretary Xavier Becerra, Congresswoman Cori Bush, and Deputy Secretary Cindy Marten for a meaningful conversation on enhancing mental health support for our students. On this latest stop of Dr. Cardona's “Back-to-School Bus Tour 2023: Raise the Bar” these leaders met with Dr. Scarlett, Compton-Drew's principal, Susan Reid, and our dedicated counselors to help shape national education policy in Washington, D.C., ensuring our local community's voices remain central to the discussion. We're deeply grateful for the support of these esteemed officials in our ongoing commitment to our students' well-being and academic success.
