Professor Angela Leimkuhler Moran is a professor emeritus in the Mechanical Engineering Department U.S. Naval Academy. Her Ph.D. is from the Johns Hopkins University in Materials Science and Engineering. She performed sponsored research for over 40 years in materials and manufacturing, nano-coatings, forensics, and advanced processing (like 3D printing) for the Navy, the Air Force, the Department of Energy, Ford, and numerous private industries.

Maynard Okereke, better known as the Hip Hop M.D., graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Civil Engineering. Noticing a lack of minority involvement in the S.T.E.M. fields, he created Hip Hop Science to encourage minorities and youth to pursue more advanced career paths.
