Teach Program Oral Interp to Students
|
Save time introducing novices to POI in class or at practice with our Start Here lesson plans. This curriculum is designed to be used as a culminating unit after teaching the Middle School Public Address and Middle School Interp units to allow more student success with this unit. Teaching all three units will require a total of approximately 18-19 weeks (a semester), with each unit comprising approximately six weeks. These lessons are appropriate for both middle school students and high school novices.

Nominate Students for the New NSDA Student Leadership Council
|
The new Student Leadership Council (SLC) will be composed of current high school student members of the National Speech & Debate Association graduating in or after 2024. Members will provide feedback and recommendations throughout the 2023-2024 school year to ensure we are meeting students’ needs. Each district has the opportunity to nominate one member student for consideration. District winners must be reported by the district chair by March 1, 2023.
This is a unique way to influence the organization’s future and an excellent addition to any student’s resume. Please ask students who are passionate about improving speech and debate if they are interested in participating.
