Preparation leads to success, and business honors students exemplify this during the spring semester of their junior year. After months of refining their resumes, updating their LinkedIn profiles, practicing their pitches, and sharpening their interview skills, they compete for a 15-week paid internship with one of the Babson Center's 15 partner companies located around the world.

Clay is spending the spring semester of his junior year in Singapore and Bali working at Tigris Water Company, an investment firm that focuses on sustainable environmental solutions for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).

From Tennis Star to Global Business Affairs Executive, Cameron Tyer, C'93, Aces Her Presentation at Sewanee |

Graham Executive-in-Residence Cameron Tyer, former global business affairs executive at both Google and The Coca-Cola Company, shared insights into her career journey and offered valuable advice for students. Business affairs involves negotiations with third party rights—the business behind marketing, and Tyer emphasized the importance of fostering relationships and staying curious. When asked by her former tennis coach how athletics influenced her career, Tyer replied, "It taught me to prioritze responsibilities, stay organized, not let my team down, maintain my competition mindset, assess situations, spot weaknesses, stay in the game, figure out how to win—don't lose!" In a presentation on Feb. 20, Pat Morrell shared his journey as a start-up entrepreneur, highlighting the challenges and failures that fueled his growth and successes. Currently, he is cofounder and head of strategic growth at Aiwyn, a venture capital-backed software company that is experiencing rapid growth with their accounting firm clients.
