We're Only Two Weeks Away From The First Student Alliance Meeting

We are excited to announce the creation of the NSDA Student Alliance, a group for students interested in discussing topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's like the diversity club at your school, but on a national scale, where your ideas and perspectives can positively impact the entire speech and debate community. This space is truly open to any student who wishes to join.

Earn the Academic All American Award

The prestigious Academic All American award recognizes high school students for academic and competitive success. To be eligible, you must have:

• Earned the degree of Superior Distinction (750 points)
• Completed at least 5 semesters of high school
• Demonstrated outstanding character and leadership
• Earned a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

If you meet the criteria, ask your coach to nominate you. The award makes an excellent addition to resumes or scholarship applications.

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is composed of current high school members of the NSDA who provide feedback and recommendations throughout the year to ensure we are meeting students’ needs. How Will You Celebrate National Speech and Debate Education Day?

The National Speech and Debate Education Day (NSDE Day) is an annual celebration which honors, celebrates, and promotes the activity of scholastic speech and debate on the first Friday in March (March 1, 2024). We are thrilled to have a day dedicated to celebrating you, your team, and all you put into speech and debate. Be Part of our MLK Day Celebration Video

Join us in commemorating MLK Day on January 15 by lending your voice to a unique project. Record a section of Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic speech, "What is your life's blueprint?" and be part of a collective tribute to celebrate and honor Martin Luther King Jr. All students are welcome to participate!
