Exciting New Features for 2025:
-
Grant Giveaways with a Twist: This year, we’re bringing some fun to the process of distributing grants. Complete your "passport," and we’ll randomly draw names from a lottery-style ping pong ball machine! And the best part? All grants will be awarded on the spot, so you’ll leave the event with your check in hand.
-
Construction Industry Focus: For businesses in the construction sector, we’re hosting a Direct Connect Construction Company Networking Event on Friday, February 21, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Hotel Indigo. This special event will bring construction industry leaders together, providing a platform to market your products and services, plus guidance on how to expand your business capacity to compete for larger projects. We’ll also connect you with agencies that can help you grow and prepare for future opportunities.

Tallahassee MSA Real GDP Hits $19.3 Billion in 2023, Outpacing National Growth Trends
In 2023, the Tallahassee Metropolitan Area’s (MSA) Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was $19.3 billion, up 4.0% from 2022, slightly less than Florida’s Real GDP 4.3% rate of increase and higher than the overall 2.9% increase for the US. In 2023, the Tallahassee MSA had the 13th-largest Real GDP among Florida’s 22 metro areas.
Over the past five years, Tallahassee and its two other Comparative Communities in Florida (viz., Pensacola and Gainesville, see Competitiveness Report) have each had average annual growth rates exceeding 3%, while the Comparative Communities in other states all have five-year average growth rates of less than 3%.
The Bureau of Economic Analysis released Real GDP data for metro areas in December. The revisions cover 2001 to 2023 and use chained 2017 dollars to account for the skewing effects of inflation across the years.
