October 29, 2020
We know this fall—and really, all of 2020—has been a stressful time for students, families, and communities. The newest episode of Weekly Wonder is all about using the outdoors to relieve stress.
Join Emily as she takes us through a brain-based explanation of stress and then introduces us to sound mapping—an activity that will help us to pay attention to the sounds of the world around us and help us feel better in stressful situations!

What is Weekly Wonder?
Weekly Wonder is a nature-based program designed to be accessible for all–whether from the park or the parking lot. No expensive gear, no travel to distant wild places, and no specialized skills or experience necessary! Just bring a willingness to be curious, to pay attention to the world around you, and to share wonder and joy with others.
Learn more and watch previous episodes on our website. And don't forget to subscribe to our Weekly Wonder emails to get new episodes delivered straight to your inbox!

2021 Program Registration Opens November 13
Registration for our 2021 summer and adult programs will open on November 13.
We have been strategizing ways to ensure our programs occur in a safe living and learning environment. We feel very good about the safety procedures we put in place during fall 2020 and will likely keep them the same for our 2021 programs and make adjustments as we closely monitor trends and best practices.
We are thrilled to offer an outstanding schedule of programs designed for all ages to experience hands-on discovery and wonder in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
