ATMIA Canada Newsletter
Dear ATMIA Canada Member,
I can feel spring is in the air and there is also the promise of important events happening in the ATM industry in Canada, too.

We have already kicked off the 2018 campaign for our Advocacy efforts in the Canadian market. You will be receiving marketing material over the next several weeks looking for your participation by way of contribution. Although contributions are accepted and welcome year round, we prefer that funding be in place early in the year in order that our GRC and H & K can focus from the get-go on important industry issues which could affect your business.
As you know, our ATMIA Canada GRC focuses on issues that affect members at all levels, municipally, provincially and federally. Issues in one geography can quickly spread to other regions. Like the Center for Disease Control attempts to prevent spreading, your GRC is always ready to prevent the spread of costly or damaging regulations from one jurisdiction to another. Big or small, we need your financial support as a form of damage control insurance for the industry. Let’s act with urgency and get our advocacy off to an amazing start for 2018.

Next up, please take careful note on the article further down on the ATMIA Consortium for Next Generation ATMs. This is an initiative proving to be the largest and most interesting ever taken on by ATMIA, globally. Already over 100 companies from across all sectors of the industry have signed up to implement a global blueprint for next gen ATMs.

We are now 60 days away from the Canadian ATMIA Payment Summit. You must take action soon to obtain a room at the hotel blocked for ATMIA Attendees. You will be hearing from industry experts on topics ranging from cyber security to virtual branches and the future of the ATM. Our banker lineup includes  CIBC, BMO, Scotiabank and others. You will also hear from independent operators, and many familiar supplier names from our industry.

We will be hosting a Canada Member only Town Hall meeting, time slot to be advised.

I look forward to seeing and talking with each and everyone of you at our industry event.
All the best,
Curt Binns
Executive Director, ATMIA Canada
