Governor Mike DeWine to Visit Walsh University Tomorrow |
Walsh University is privileged to host Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, on campus tomorrow to showcase our leadership in the state’s effort to adopt the Science of Reading to improve literacy for Ohio’s children. Walsh University’s Division of Education was one of the first in the state to align its literacy courses in 2020 with the Science of Reading method and will share the impact with Governor DeWine. There will be some minor adjustments around campus to support the increased physical security but most should not disrupt your activities. We are going to close the Café in the Marlene and Joe Toot Global Learning Center for the lunch period tomorrow to accommodate the visit. Additionally, a couple of classes in the Renacci Center for Civic Engagement during the lunch period have been relocated so please check your email for those locations. Many thanks to the many hands that helped ensure our campus is beautiful and our folks are ready to discuss this important state and national issue with Governor DeWine during his visit. Swords Up!
