HOUR OF CODE: A GLOBAL EVENT
Programming is a basic literacy in the digital age. From phones to computers to robotic toys, it is one thing to know how to use these technologies. It’s another, however, to understand the logic behind them. Coding draws back the seeming “magic” of technology so students can truly understand the logic and science that controls this technology–a discovery that is all the more magical. The students of today must be able to not only passively consume technology, but also to understand and control it, becoming an active part of this huge digital shift. This week, St. Michael's students dove enthusiastically into the Hour of Code and practiced coding and brain skills.
 Important Announcements:
Due low interest, the Extended Programs Drop and Shop scheduled for Sunday, December 11, from 2-5 p.m. is CANCELLED!  Thanks for your understanding.
From the Kindergarten holiday play and the fifth grade chorus concert, to the Hour of Code and harvesting the Middle School greenhouse, be sure to check out our Media Gallery for photos and videos from this week at St. Michael's!
