December 2015
Dear Charter School Supporter,
As we close out 2015, I want to thank you. Thank you for your hard work on behalf of our students in 2015, and thank you for being a part of our charter school community.
While we don't exactly know what 2016 will bring, we know that many big changes are on the horizon. We have a new federal education bill, with ESEA reauthorization finally taking place. We have a new governor, new BESE board members, and new state legislators. In this new landscape, we will be counting on you, our school leaders, board members, and partners, to step up and rally for the importance of charters and choice. Beginning in January with National School Choice Week and continuing through the 2016 legislative session and Charter Schools Week, I hope I can count on you to show up in full force in support of Louisiana charter schools.
I'm sincerely grateful to be able to do this work alongside you. On behalf of the team at LAPCS, I wish you the happiest of holidays and a wonderful new year!
