April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). During this time, the Clemson community comes together to generate awareness through programs, events and resources. SAAM events kick off Friday, April 4, and run throughout the month.
- Faculty and staff celebrated several service milestones of at least 10 years in April, including Scott Mickey from the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences, who reached 30 years.

Cadency, Clemson’s student-led brand agency at the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, visited Austin, Texas, this spring on an industry trip experience with opportunities to see companies, learn from industry professionals and immerse themselves in the world of brand communications.
Dawoon Jeong, an assistant professor in the Agricultural Sciences Department who works with the South Carolina Water Resources Center, received a grant for her research on water economics, which aims to support effective water management strategies in South Carolina and nationwide while providing valuable insights for policymakers.

Clemson alumni Jim Warner ’95 and Shannon Conner Warner ’95 have made an exciting pledge leading up to Give Day on April 10. They plan to match up to $50,000 in new donations directed towards scholarships for Honors College students. Dollars raised will ensure that every one of next year’s incoming Honors students receives some merit aid from Clemson.

Several Campus Recreation facilities, including the Douthit Hills Fitness Center, the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center and Fike Recreation Center, will close at 3 p.m. Friday for an event. Fike Recreation Center is also upgrading to digital lockers to check out recreational gear like basketballs and paddles — take a quick survey to share your experience.

The Center for Career and Professional Development is offering a new 'Career Insider' program for faculty and staff to demonstrate the resources it offers. This month, the Center focuses on programs and resources available for first-generation students. The event takes place 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, in the Hendrix 316 Boardroom.

Megan Fallon, interpersonal violence prevention coordinator for Healthy Campus, is collaborating with the South Carolina Institute on the Prevention of Sexual Violence (SCIP) and Safe Harbor to bring the Relationship Education Project – University (REP-U) training to faculty and staff on April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Cooper Library Learning Lab.
