Fall 2026 Incoming Students: Data Loads & Account Access |
Here's some important information about data loads and account access for Fall 2026 incoming students as we prepare for the launch of the new Triton Student System (TSS).
-
Fall 2026 incoming students will not be loaded into ISIS. Instead, all incoming student records will be loaded directly in TSS as part of the new system launch.
-
Data loads for incoming students will occur in March 2026. These loads will populate TSS with new student information, supporting key admissions, enrollment, and financial aid processes and assign a TSS Student Number (formerly PID in ISIS) to these students.
- Student account activation will begin in March 2026. Students will not be able to claim their UC San Diego accounts or sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO) until their records are active in TSS in March.
-
Housing processes will remain available before March. Housing, Dining, and Hospitality (HDH) will allow students to “Request A Temporary Username / Password” to be able to add themselves to the Graduate & Family Housing waitlist without an active SSO account prior to March 2026. Students adding themselves via a temporary account or waiting until they are able to request their student number in March will not impact prioritization on the housing waitlist or housing preference.
-
Further information about processes related to international students and visa document requests is being coordinated with the International Services and Engagement Office (ISEO). The ISEO will reach out directly to admissions directors and leads with more details soon.

TSS Development: A Collaborative Approach |
The TSS Project’s configuration team held three collaborative sessions with staff from academic advising, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs to help develop the new Find-A-Student function within TSS.
| |
In the first session held on October 22, 2025, the configuration team introduced the new TSS Find-A-Student function to over 20 attendees. In a second session on October 28th, Academic Advisors and other student-facing staff walked the configuration team through their current workflows, helping them understand the nuances of how they use other Integrated Student Information System (ISIS) functions such as academic history, degree audits, course waitlists, and student holds. The aim for these two sessions was for the configuration team to understand exactly how academic advisors and student-facing staff interact with tools and applications when helping students and to ensure TSS functions could be used just as easily as the tools and applications that are used today. The final workshop on November 18th provided attendees with real-world scenarios to test in TSS, giving the configuration team insight into how the system is currently performing. These sessions have been invaluable in confirming that TSS is prepared to handle the intricacies of actual day-to-day workflows, not just versions of them.
Thank you to everyone who participated in these workshops. The practical insights and nuances you shared directly influenced how we’re building this system. We are especially grateful to the configuration team and our colleagues from academic advising, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs who carved time out of their schedules to attend. Your expertise and commitment to getting this right are making TSS better for everyone who will use it.
