Travel Oregon and Deschutes Brewery Collaborate to Create "Only Slightly Exaggerated IPA"

The collaboration between Travel Oregon and Deschutes Brewery celebrates all things Oregon. "Only Slightly Exaggerated IPA" was born at the brewery’s original Public House in downtown Bend in 2018 with Travel Oregon’s first launch of the Only Slightly Exaggerated campaign.

This seasonal brew comes in 12-ounce bottles in six and 12 packs. The beer is available in 32 states and in all major retail outlets, convenience and liquor stores, as well as restaurants and bars. To find the nearest Deschutes beer near you, try their helpful beer finder.

Save the Date: Tour Operators, Guides and Outfitters Training

Travel Oregon is hosting a robust two-day training, Nov. 5 - 6 at Marine Park Pavilion in Cascade Locks for tour operators, guides & outfitters. The training will focus on the unique marketing and operational needs of outdoor recreation tourism businesses. Learn high-impact marketing and communication strategies and understand how to navigate land-use permits and set up successful operations.

Registration is required, along with a $30 fee for the two-day training. Training is intended for Oregon guides, outfitters, tour operators, entrepreneurs and tourism businesses looking to develop or expand their outdoor recreation tour product. Detailed program information and registration will be available online in early September.

Agritourism Update

The most recent agritourism coordination and strategy meeting was held this summer in Cascade Locks. The meeting was the latest in a series that Travel Oregon convened in partnership with agencies, organizations and producers since the launch of the Oregon Agritourism Working Group in 2012. This work began with the goal of helping to cultivate Oregon’s agritourism industry, and continues today with activities that include engaging Oregon’s agriculture and food and beverage industries and those interested in agritourism for your business or community.
