Dear Alumni and Friends,
Happy belated Father’s Day to all our alums who are dads out there. I hope you had a wonderful day with your children. We were able to head back up to NYC so my husband and our children could spend some quality time together.
In my last email I was sharing how the campus was buzzing with excitement and events. Now it is quiet. Thursday, June 12th was the last official day for students, so it will be quite a shift from the normal noise and energy level. But we have so much work to do to close out the books for this year and gear up for the student opening on September 3, 2025. The construction of the wellness center is well underway and on time for the opening. I am selecting furniture, so it becomes more and more real as the days go by. We are also replacing the roof over the wellness center, installing a new phone system, and finally removing the very old bell system and replacing it with a new system for communication in the hallways. We are moving and shaking here at Carroll.
We are so close in our fundraising for a new multipurpose turf field. We are hoping, with your help, we will complete our fundraising this summer and start digging late fall. If you are interested in being part of this project, please reach out to our Director of Institutional Advancement, Julie Hyland, julie.hyland@jcarroll.org. We can so do this!
We have added new members to our Board of Directors- welcome Pat Gillespie '87, Nora McGeever '11, and Maggie Mauer '09. Welcome to the Board Pat, Nora, and Maggie!
As alumni, you remain an integral part of our school family. Your prayers, your presence, and your support continue to shape the lives of future generations. Whether you’ve been back recently or it’s been years since you walked these halls, please know you are always welcome here. May you find time to relax with family and friends this summer.
With gratitude,
Patricia G. Scott, Ed.D. President

Class of 2025 | Where are they going
Many students are attending prestigious schools such as: Air Force Academy, Notre Dame, Princeton, Villanova University, Saint Joseph’s, University of Delaware, Texas Tech, William & Mary, Virginia Tech, Holy Family, Drexel, Penn State, and Gwynedd Mercy, to just name a few. One student will study in Ireland and another in Japan while others are joining the military or learning a trade. Collectively college-bound students earned a record setting $45.5 million in college scholarships! We are so immensely proud of this class. Carroll students excel in the classroom and even more important to know that, at Carroll, faith is not separate from excellence- it is the foundation of it.

A teacher who has made a difference!
Mr. Timothy O'Brien - Theology - by Daniel P. '25
"Mr. O’Brien is one of the most inspiring people I know. Over the past 2 years, we have had dozens of hours of conversation about theology, metaphysics, church history, and church doctrine that have truly shaped my view of life, our purpose as God’s children, and our relationship with God. Our discussions have often lasted through multiple class periods. I have left them with a greater sense of wisdom and peace as a result of our exchanges of thought. God has given him an overflow of wisdom and love, and the Holy Spirit overflows into the way he teaches us and the conversations he has with students who want to learn more about theology and the faith. I am going to college for music performance, but I have a greater appreciation for and interest in theology and philosophy. I am truly grateful to have had him as a teacher for 2 years."
