OF+MO to Co-Host Music Event at AMERICANAFEST in Nashville
OF+MO and the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture will co-host an official event at AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday, September 10, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Taking place at Acme Feed & Seed music venue on the historic Broadway avenue, the music lineup will feature Oklahoma music artists Ramsey Thornton, Mallory Eagle and The Imaginaries. This event is open to the public.

Born and Raised Music Festival Returns to Pryor
OF+MO is proud to support the Born & Raised Festival taking place in Pryor, Okla., September 10-13. The country/Red Dirt festival will include Cody Jinks, Parker McCollum, Treaty Oak Revival and many others. The festival kickoff takes place Wednesday, September 10, featuring an all-Oklahoma artist lineup, including Cody Canada and the Departed, Stoney LaRue, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, the Mike McClure Band and Smokin’ Oaks. Kickoff admission is free with weekend festival ticket purchase.

OF+MO Partners with The Soundup Club for Songwriter's Round
OF+MO is proud to support The Soundup Club as they present The Soundup Roundup, an intimate and inspiring night of music and storytelling featuring Audra Mae, Natalie Reed and Voth. This one-of-a-kind songwriter’s round features Oklahoma musicians sharing the stories behind their songs and performing them live, allowing audiences a rare peek into the creative process straight from the voices themselves. As the first songwriter's round of its kind in Tulsa, this intimate event will take place at The Church Studio on September 25.

OF+MO Supports the Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival
OF+MO is proud to support the second annual Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival taking place on Saturday, September 27, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Purcell. Presented by the City of Purcell, in partnership with Heart of Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce, this family-friendly festival will feature live music, food trucks, vendor booths and more. The music lineup includes Brother Heywood, Etowah Road, the Gary Gibson Band, Red Dirt Rangers and The Great Divide. Admission is free.

Gordon Cooper Technology Center to Offer Intro to Film Course
Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee, Okla., is offering an Intro to Film course that will meet September 23, 25, 30 and October 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. Taught by Chris Zuhdi (“Neon Cactus”) the course will feature an overview of crew positions and responsibilities as well as set terminology and etiquette to prepare students for work on set.

Kate Melton Coaching to Host Halloween-Themed Performance Camp
Oklahoma-based actor and coach Kate Melton will lead Kate Melton Coaching’s Spooktacular, a Halloween-themed camp for adults. Participants can expect to learn from horror films to SNL sketches, all culminating in a live stage performance on October 3.

The camp will run September 29 – October 3 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM@UCO) is now offering short, objective oriented online courses called Transmissions. Two Oklahoma Organizations Nominated for Music Cities Awards
A global competition launched in 2020, the Music Cities Awards annually recognize and celebrate music in economic, social, environmental and cultural development across cities worldwide. Among the 2025 nominees are longtime partners of OF+MO - the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture who received a nomination for Best Global Music City and the Red Dirt Relief Fund who are nominated for Best Organization Supporting Music. Winners will be announced at the Music Cities Awards Ceremony on September 16 in Fayetteville, Ark.

FEATURED LOCATION
The Little Chapel
Located in the film friendly community of Lawton, The Little Chapel offers a timeless backdrop for productions with stunning Gothic Revival architectural features throughout and plenty of flex space. Built in 1902 and restored in 1982, it now largely operates as a wedding venue. For filmmakers it can provide a warm and intimate setting with a versatile space, which includes a sanctuary, parlor, gathering area and kitchen on-site. Within proximity to the stunning landscapes of the Wichita Mountain Refuge, it’s a convenient location set to serve a variety of storylines and film genres.
