Get Loud about Money: Join GW's 2026 Financial Well-Being Campaign |
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Money conversations are getting louder and more honest, and at GW we’re joining in. Inspired by the viral “loud budgeting” trend, we are launching our 2026 GW Financial Well-Being Campaign. This campaign encourages vocal intentionality in how you spend, save, and prioritize your money. Loud budgeting is about confidently saying "no" to spending that doesn’t align with your financial priorities and being transparent about the goals you’re working towards to support long-term financial well-being.
We recognize that many in our community are navigating rising costs of living and today’s financial pressures, and this campaign is intended to offer support and practical tools to help you navigate your financial priorities.
Instead of leaning into social pressures and spending trends, loud budgeting encourages individuals to speak openly about their financial choices. This might mean passing on an expensive dinner because you’re saving for a vacation, focusing on paying down debt, or building an emergency fund. By normalizing these conversations, loud budgeting can help reduce financial stress, create accountability, and support more thoughtful spending decisions.

Take Control of Your Financial Story
Throughout the year, join us and our vendor partners as we offer webinars, workshops, tools, and resources designed to help you take control of your financial story and make the most of the financial and benefit programs available at GW. These opportunities will provide practical strategies for budgeting, saving, managing debt, and setting spending boundaries, while helping you align your financial decisions with your personal goals and values.
Let's get loud together! We invite you to unmute your money and speak your spend, and ask yourself:
| What are YOU budgeting loudly for this year? |
Note: Your response may be featured in campaign highlights as well as help us tailor resources, webinars, and tools to what matters most to GW employees.
