Welcome to the September edition of the SOLVE-CHD monthly updates 2025. This monthly e-newsletter will keep you up to date with the key progress of the SOLVE-CHD projects and provide updates on our events and initiatives. Simply 
email solve-chd.info@sydney.edu.au if you wish to share/add anything from your area that is directly/indirectly related to the SOLVE-CHD program. We would also strongly encourage you to share your research highlights and successes that is relevant to cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention with us so that we can celebrate your achievements with our network.

Australian Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) Quality Initiative Update
The Australian CR Quality Initiative continues to progress strongly. As of August 2025, more than 150 ACRA-funded members have completed the ICCPR Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Foundations Certification (CRFC).
At the ACRA ASM 2025, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Excellence Initiative was also launched. This new initiative recognises and celebrates CR programs across Australia that are delivering high-quality care.

SOLVE-CHD PI Prof Julie Redfern Featured on ICCPR Podcast!
Prof Julie Redfern was invited on Episode 6 of the ICCPR “Let’s Talk” Podcast to share her journey as an international leader in cardiac rehabilitation. She discusses the World Heart Federation Roadmap, the future of cardiac rehab, and the impact of research and global collaboration.

ESC Congress 2025
Our Solvers did an incredible job at this year's European Society of Cardiology Congress - delivering presentations, joining panels, launching World Heart Federation CR Roadmap, and showcasing their expertise and leadership on the international stage.

Heart and Mind Webinar: Bridging Cardiac and Mental Health Care with Diet
Join Dr Sarah Gauci and Dr Tetyana Rocks as they examine the bi-directional relationship between depression and cardiovascular disease, and the role of diet as a modifiable factor in improving both cardiovascular and mental health outcomes.

Call for Papers! Heart Lung and Circulation Special Issue
Heart, Lung and Circulation is excited to present a special issue on the evolving landscape of contemporary cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention. This special issue will focus on innovative program delivery methods, emerging technologies, workforce, and health equity challenges. We invite researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals to submit original research articles, focused research reports, and reviews.
Submissions are open until 1 December 2025
