Happy First Day of School, Remote-Style!
A Video Message from Bob Gregg, Head of School (please click photo)
May 23, 2020
Dear St. Michael's Families, Faculty, and Staff,
TODAY is the day! The day when we come back together as a learning community. Even if it is on-screen, we CAN'T WAIT to see your faces! From our students and teachers to our parents and caregivers, we wish everyone a truly wonderful first day.
As this is a milestone day, let's celebrate! Attached please find a "First Day Of Remote Learning at St M" sign. We invite our Dragons big and small to print the sign (or make your own), take a picture of yourselves in front of your learning spaces, and then post photos to social media with the tag #STMDragonsUnite.
Once again, the key to our shared success this week and beyond is patience, flexibility, optimism, and kindness. We know we all will experience both successes and bumps along the way as we embark on this endeavor but as ONE.TOGETHER., we will work through them and adapt as needed.
So let's get excited and ready for this first day of school today, REMOTE-STYLE!
Go Dragons!
Sincerely,
Bob Gregg
Head of School
P.S. It is customary to start our days at St. Michael's with the Lord's Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. On this day of new beginnings, we also offer this prayer:
A Prayer for Our School
Thank you, God, for looking after our School.
Thank you that you love each and everyone of us here.
Help us learn and smile and share together,
So that the wonderful world you have made
Becomes more beautiful everyday. Amen. (Author Unknown)
