After earning a degree in international relations from UC Davis, Jenifer returned home to the Klamath Basin to focus on tourism marketing. Jenifer now owns and operates Roe Outfitters, which offers kayaking, bird hunting, and fishing tours, as well as Crater Lake Zipline, both located in the Klamath Basin. She continues her family’s legacy by working alongside her husband and two adult children.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the tourism industry, Jenifer brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in rural Oregon. Her dedication to promoting Oregon’s natural beauty and cultural heritage has fueled her passion for sustainable tourism that supports local economies and enhances community livability.
Jenifer is actively involved in her community through various volunteer roles. She currently serves as chair of the Discover Klamath Visitor and Convention Bureau, is a board member of Travel Southern Oregon, and is a member of the resource advisory committee for the Fremont-Winema National Forest.
Jenifer will replace Commissioner Maria Ponzi who served nearly two terms on the commission. Travel Oregon would like to thank Maria for her service and dedication to Oregon’s tourism industry.
