Dear Choir Family,
We can't thank you enough for everything you do to support the DCC. Thanks to you, we have recruited more singers to our choirs, we are in more locations, and we have raised more awareness for our programs. We couldn't do what we do without you!
However, with some changes in focus at the national level, we are unfortunately seeing some trickle-down impacts at the local level. As some funders refocus their priorities, many local arts organizations are having to pivot to meet their fundraising budgets.
The DCC set a goal this season to raise $150,000 from individual donations. To date we have raised just under $90,000 so we are well over halfway there!
And thanks to a generous gift from a longtime friend of the choir, former board member (and parent of choir alum) Laura Barton has created the Barton Family Foundation Challenge: to help the DCC celebrate 30 years of making music! The Barton Family Foundation, a donor advised fund of the Denver Foundation, will match every gift between now and June 30 up to $30,000. If our choir community raises $30,000 it will be matched dollar for dollar and the DCC will achieve its goal of $150,000 for the season!
