All 4-H members and volunteers need to re-enroll every new 4-H year in the fall.

Enrolling in 4-H as a member or volunteer is very important to ensure that you can participate 4-H activities and to ensure that you are covered under 4-H's insurance during 4-H events.

QPR Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training for Professionals and Volunteers

QPR teaches three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide: Question, Persuade, and Refer. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, QPR Gatekeepers are trained to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and to respond in order to save a life. Gatekeepers can be anyone who is positioned to recognize and refer someone at risk of suicide (e.g., parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, coaches, dance team leaders, co-workers, barbers, bartenders, etc.)
Our first two sessions will be for youth-serving audiences, offered virtually on Dec. 12th, 2022 from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm and again from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm. We’ll also be offering two adult Gatekeeper classes on Tuesday, Jan. 3rd, 2023 from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm and 5:30 pm-7:00 pm. Additional sessions will be added for both adult and youth serving audiences. Superior Days Seeking

4-H High School Youth

Superior Days is an annual grassroots approach to community development in Northwest Wisconsin that has been a success since 1985. Citizens join together and venture to Madison for two action packed days. Superior Days embodies action and change, and the messages are delivered directly and personally throughout the party lines. Embracing diversity and commitment; Superior Days enhances local knowledge of issues in need of resolution, local leadership, and regional cooperation between citizens and government leaders to solve common problems.

We are seeking 4-H high school aged youth interested in attending Superior Days. This experience is February 20-22nd in Madison, WI. There will be other youth from Bayfield, Ashland and Iron Counties in attendance. All expenses would be covered for 4-H members. Training will be provided.
