HONORARY DEGREE LMU will confer an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree on Gail Abarbanel, founder and director of the RapeTreatment Center and Stuart House at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. The university is honoring Abarbanel’s vision, leadership and tireless commitment to social justice in her work with rape survivors, police and medical health personnel in the ceremony on April 25.

March 26 / Exhibit: “International at LMU” / Hannon Library, 2nd Floor, open

This exhibit profiles some of the 1,200 individuals from 91 countries who are a critical part of LMU’s internationalization. Presented by the Office for International Students and Scholars, the exhibit runs through April 5, 2018. MORE 

March 26 / Art Opening: “Border Life / La Fronteriza” / McIntosh Center, UNH 3999, 6 p.m.

The artist and guests will open a photo exhibition by Irish artist Maeve Hickey showcasing images of the vibrant Arizona/Sonora borderlands and its people. This exhibition is part of the Mexican Center for Culture and Cinematic Arts' Cultural Exchange Program with the Consulate of Ireland in Los Angeles. It will be housed in the Atrium of University Hall, from March 26 to April 7. MORE
