  1. Robbie Robertson, leader of The Band and lead guitarist for Bob Dylan in the 1960s, passed away at 80 earlier this year. Robertson was instrumental in the origins of what would become the Americana genre. He is also a member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Read more
