A message from the Dean
A warm welcome to this edition of Sydney Business Connect.
I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new strategy, which marks a pivotal moment in our journey towards shaping innovative, responsible and sustainable leaders and organisations. This strategy charts a transformative course for our institution, establishing us as trailblazers in cultivating lifelong learners, forging enduring partnerships with industry and government for groundbreaking impactful research, and mobilising a diverse and flourishing community through sustainable management practices.
We are at an inflection point of polycrisis for business, society and our planet that demands us to be radical innovators, courageous collaborators, and conscientious leaders. As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact Principles for Responsible Management Education, we will continue to leverage this platform to drive change and reshape business education, nurturing future responsible leaders.
We accept accountability to current and future generations and for the planet. Importantly, we recognise our social contract with First Nations peoples of Australia by learning from and partnering with them for a better social and economic future. We are committed to forging strong, respectful relationships and integrating Indigenous knowledge into our curricula. On the precipice of the Australian Indigenous Voice referendum, I want to reiterate the Business School's commitment to shaping a community where everyone has the opportunity to belong and thrive. I look forward to sharing the impactful work of the Business School as we begin implementing our new strategy.
