"Pebble Pals" connects Preschoolers and Elders
A.G. Rhodes is proud to partner with Pebble Tossers—a nonprofit youth service organization —on "Pebble Pals", a new program that brings preschoolers and their parents together with A.G. Rhodes elders for storytime, crafts, and connection. A.G. Rhodes and Pebble Tossers are longtime partners in promoting intergenerational relationships through service, and this latest program gives younger children opportunities to enjoy quality time with elders while engaging in a variety of service learning fun. Do you know a parent with little ones who would be interested in attending? This inaugural session will take place on Monday, September 8 at 10:30am at our Cobb community. Training Hands and Hearts
Employee Spotlight: Robin Ferrell, CNA, A.G. Rhodes Atlanta
As a young adult, Robin Ferrell wasn’t drawn to any particular career field. But then a fellow church member who was working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta encouraged her to consider becoming a CNA. Leaning on her strong faith and love for helping people, she gave it a shot.
Now, 30 years later, Robin is still at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta where she started her career as a CNA. For the last five years she has also served as a preceptor, training and mentoring CNAs who are new to the career field or who are new to A.G. Rhodes.
“I enjoy training people—showing them how A.G. Rhodes does things,” she said. “I stick with them, encourage them, and check in to make sure they’re doing okay.”
