The U.S. Air Force Academy Association & Foundation has recently learned of the death of Lt. Col. (Ret.) Daryl L. Emerson, CS-02, Class of 1972. Col. Emerson passed away on March 14, 2026, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held from 9 until 10 a.m. on June 5, 2026, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1099 Highspire Rd., Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at the Indian Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd., Annville, Pennsylvania. Please arrive by 1:50 p.m. to join the procession.
His family has suggested memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Cornerstone Baptist Church or Kairos Prison Ministry International.
