Recruitment Success in 2024 |
This past fall marked a milestone for our IFC and Panhellenic communities, as recruitment numbers continue to climb. A total of 10 pre-recruitment events, organized by the university and individual councils, provided opportunities for prospective new members (PNMs) to connect with chapters. These events were met with enthusiasm and high participation, creating incredible energy leading into recruitment that continued throughout the semester.

Relive the excitement with our Bid Day Recap Video!
| The Interfraternity Council (IFC) implemented a hybrid recruitment model that included:
• Chapter-hosted recruitment events.
• Joint IFC and Fraternity & Sorority Life recruitment events.
• A structured recruitment day where PNMs visited all chapter houses.
Between the first day of class and Bid Day, IFC chapters hosted an impressive 30 events, creating many opportunities for PNMs to get to know each chapter. On Bid Day, PNMs gathered at Elizabeth Hall to accept bids and meet brothers from their new chapters before heading to the Stetson Green for a celebration with all chapter members.
| |
By the Numbers:
• 61 new members joined on Bid Day.
• An additional 19 members joined post-recruitment, bringing the total to 80 new members for the semester.
Panhellenic continued its tradition of successful recruitment with pre-recruitment events that drew significant interest and provided meaningful interactions between PNMs and chapters.
At Bid Day, 65 new members joined Panhellenic chapters. Continuous Open Bidding (COB) following recruitment added 29 new members, bringing the semester total to 94 new members.
For the first time in years, four out of six chapters reached total membership capacity, a significant achievement that reflects the strength and growth of our Panhellenic community. We look forward to seeing continued growth in the spring semester as total membership numbers are reassessed.

New Member Leadership Series Alumni Panel |
A new initiative from the Fraternity & Sorority Life department, the New Member Leadership Series, focused on developing the next generation of chapter leaders. Over the course of seven weeks, 17 new members participated in 90-minute sessions covering topics such as:
• Identifying personal values
• Defining leadership
• Utilizing campus resources
• Time management and self-care
One highlight of the series was an Alumni Leadership Panel, where five Greek alumni shared their experiences and insights on leadership in college and beyond. Participants found the panel invaluable for understanding the importance of strong leadership, learning from challenges and leveraging alumni networks.
