PENCIL has six Family Resource Centers that act as a hub for community resources, helping families navigate outside agencies that can assist with social, emotional and physical needs. During the holiday season, this means providing food bags, warm clothing and other support for families within their schools.

GNASH DELIVERS BACKPACKS LOADED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO NAPIER ELEMENTARY

Thank you, Nashville Predators Foundation, for the investment in Nashville's students! The Preds Foundation's donation of $7,500 purchased 1,200 backpacks that were stuffed with Yoobi school supplies - pencils, pencil box, glue sticks, glue bottle, markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, erasers, and a ruler.

BURLINGTON DONATED $10,000 TO WESTMEADE ELEMENTARY 
Burlington Donates $10,000 to Westmeade Elementary School
To celebrate the grand opening of their brand new store in One Bellevue Place, Burlington, in collaboration with Adopt a Classroom, donated $10,000 to Westmeade Elementary School to provide school supplies for the students and teachers. Watch the video above to see the celebrations!

Thank you to AR Workshop Franklin for having us out for a night of crafting, friends and fun! We had around 20 attendees and their projects raised more than $350 for PENCIL!

Principal for a Day is an exclusive event that offers the opportunity for PENCIL Partners, donors, business and community leaders to spend the morning with a Metro principal. We want our city's leaders to see the great things happening within our schools as we work to change the dialogue about public education in Nashville!
Those who support PENCIL at the $500 and above giving level receive priority access to this event.

Did you know that a majority of high school dropouts occur between the freshmen and sophomore year? That's why the Academies of Nashville career exploration fair is so important!
The Career Exploration Fair will need nearly 100 volunteers at the Music City Center to help ensure the event is a success for the thousands of high school freshmen who will be attending and the hundreds of exhibitors who will be showcasing careers. Sign up to volunteer here:
