In the past week, Clemson has again been named a top institution nationally in rankings announced by Niche and The Princeton Review. Niche provided Clemson with an overall A rating and named it the No. 1 college in South Carolina. The Princeton Review included Clemson in its Best Value, Best 390 Colleges and Best Colleges of the South lists.

Clemson University once again earned national recognition by the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU) for excellence in community engagement, innovation and economic development. The recognition also earned the University a five-year extension of its APLU Innovation and Economic Prosperity Designation.

Oconee Nuclear Station sirens sounded; No emergency at the plant |
Despite reports of sirens sounding in the Pickens County emergency planning zone this morning, the plant is operating safely and there is no emergency at the plant. Clemson University has spoken with Duke Energy, who is working with local county and state emergency management to determine the cause of the siren activation. As a reminder, if you hear sirens and are not sure if it is a test or emergency, monitor CU Alerts or tune to a local radio or tv station in your area.

Formerly known as the Scholars’ Lab, the space is available to assist students, faculty and staff with various data-related needs. The lab will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and will host workshops and lunch-and-learn sessions throughout the Fall semester.
