What You Can Do to Help

  2. Spread the word. Tell your friends, family, walking groups, neighborhood associations, and anyone else who will listen about this fun volunteer opportunity! General info and links can be found at tinyurl.com/pdxtrailcounts.
  3. RSVP & attend a volunteer training. Required for new volunteers! See details below - trainings available at Metro and PBOT.
  4. Conduct at least one 2-hour count. Counting at more than one site is highly encouraged.

Volunteer-collected counts are a critical component toward a set of comprehensive pedestrian data similar to the Bike Count data the City of Portland continues to collect. As a part of the NBPDP, this data will also contribute to a larger movement to collect, analyze, and understand pedestrian and bicycle behavior on a broad scale.
Please consider joining the cause and conduct a count!
