November is a month filled with gratitude - and we couldn't be more grateful for each of you. As we approach our busiest months of the year—with the continued 40% increase in participation across programs—we are relieved to know you are here for local families. Thank you for all you do all through the year.

We're so grateful for Zoe and her team at Loyola!! Zoe revamped the Blood Pressure program, recruited fellow medical students and instituted drive through blood pressure checks. Zoe is innovative, thoughtful, professional and an excellent communicator. She's even helping to connect us with a stream of volunteers from Loyola. Zoe also instituted a follow-up system with clients and has already helped 7 people achieve blood pressure control!

The entire Home delivery team is grateful for the consistent support Michael Swaine has shown the Home Delivery program. Not only does he meet the need for shifts that are less likely to get picked up, he brings his kids in to volunteer and support Home Delivery as well. Michael consistently completes two of our client grocery drop-offs, even when it requires a 2nd trip. Thank you to Michael for his enthusiasm and support of the work we do

Did you know there is a turkey shortage this year? Our regular turkey supplier informed us that they wouldn't be able to fulfill our order. But Sofie Pederson, Programs Assistant, persevered. Sofie made some calls and was able to reserve 1300 turkeys from Northwest Meat Company and International Meat Company. With that reservation we're ready to begin NOVEMBER. Our first order arrived on Wednesday and at Wednesday's grocery pick up, everyone who wanted a turkey left with one.
