From the Executive Director

Dear Cottage Theatre family,

As you can probably guess, some plays are very simple to produce, while others require herculean effort. The second most popular Cottage Theatre production of all time (revealed below) definitely falls in the latter category. This show was truly a labor of love — by a great many people — and we were all really proud of the result. I hope you enjoy reminiscing with me!

You have questions . . . and so do we! Some questions, of course, we cannot yet answer, like "When will Cottage Theatre resume productions?" But we are happy to answer the questions that we can. We'll answer one or two of your questions each week going forward.

Question: I had tickets to Mamma Mia in April, but you didn't produce the show. What happens with my tickets?

Answer: Please hold onto your tickets! We are still planning to produce Mamma Mia whenever it is safe for us to do so. (It will be quite the celebration!) Your existing tickets will be exchanged to one of our new performance dates once we have them. We will be in touch with all Mamma Mia ticketholders at that time to coordinate those exchanges. (And don't worry if you've lost your tickets, as we have a record of all ticket purchases in our computer.)

Like every performing arts organization, Cottage Theatre faces some significant financial challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have already cut as many ongoing expenses as possible during this crisis, but some core operating costs continue whether or not we are holding performances.
