INTRODUCING THE GRAD WRITING NETWORK |
The Professional Development team is excited to announce the new Grad Writing Network for the 2025-2026 academic year!
Join a supportive community of graduate students dedicated to making progress on their writing. Each week, the Grad Writers Network offers a mix of focused writing sessions (both in-person and virtual) and specialized workshops led by campus staff. Whether you need quiet accountability, new strategies, or just time set aside to write, the Network helps you stay motivated and connected.
Here's how it works: Come when you can, write what you need, and build momentum alongside peers.
- Weekly Writing Sessions – Drop in (in-person or virtual) for focused time to write alongside peers.
- Workshops with Experts – Learn practical strategies from campus staff to strengthen your writing.
- Flexible + Supportive – Join when you can, stay motivated, and connect with other grad writers.
Monthly Themes for Fall 2025
- October: Starting a Writing Journey – Bring your new writing projects from seminar papers to grant applications.
-
November: Job Application Materials – Get ready to write those job application materials from resumes to cover letters.
- December: Grant and Fellowship Application Planning – Create an action plan for your winter and spring funding applications.
