TDOE Paid Summer Research Assistant Position
The TN Department of Education is looking for a summer research assistant to assist with grant-funded policy research, survey data analysis, and event planning (position is for summer only).
Note that in addition to otheir skills, data management and analysis skills are required, using software packages Stata or R (excerpt from the announcement copied below.)

“Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree, ideally in Policy, Education, Economics, Quantitative Methods, or, Measurement and Statistic
- Knowledge of current trends and issues in U.S. education policy
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to perform a variety of activities involved in the research, collection,
organization, analysis, processing, interpretation and reporting of academic and
operational data - Knowledge of statistical software including R and/or STATA; data collection
information systems; conceptual and theoretical knowledge of statistical and
mathematical techniques to infer causality - Ability to present data in an accessible manner to variety of audiences
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative;
strong project management skills”
