April 1 Pray for today's Chapel speaker, Campus Pastor Jose Carrillo. Pray that the Lord will speak through, Jose, and that the student's hearts and minds will be open to the Truth of Christ.
2 Pray for President Scott Rich.
3 Thank Jesus for what he did on the cross for each one of us.
4 Sterling Warrior baseball is competing in Springfield, MO at Evangel today. Pray that the coaches and student-athletes represent the college well and honor the Lord.
5 He is risen! All praise and glory to God!
Scripture focus: Matthew 28: 5-7 "The angel told the women, 'Don’t be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here. For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; you will see him there.’ Listen, I have told you.”
6 Pray that our students will offer kindness and grace to one another.
7 Ask the Lord to provide the exact right people, at the right time to fill all open positions on campus.
8 Ask the Lord to bless the work of all those recruiting students for the Fall 2026 class and for the Sterling Online and master's programs.
9 Pray for all the employees of the college that travel for official college business. Pray for safe travel, vehicles to operate perfectly, and that wherever they go, they honor the Lord and represent Sterling College well.
10 Pray that the Lord would raise up many new donors for the work and mission of Sterling College.
11 Today is the 76th annual gathering for the Mississippi Valley Alumni Association. The event is taking place in Moline, IL. Pray for all those attending to enjoy the fellowship and to be encouraged about the direction and work of Sterling College.
12 Scripture focus: I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
13 Pray that students and faculty would have the discipline to set aside time to be still and know that He is God.
14 Pray for our students who are facing challenges of many kinds. Pray that they understand that there is a way through all struggles and challenges in and with Christ.
15 In the busyness of the end of the year for faculty and staff, pray that God will provide them with good health and energy to finish the semester.
16 Our student leaders include resident assistants, team captains, student government officers, and others. Pray that these leaders lead in effective ways that nurture truth, clarity, and involvement.
17 Praise God for the opportunities Sterling College students have to minister to one another. Ask the Lord to draw our students closer to Him.
18 Love Sterling, a community service event, is today. Thank God for all the volunteers who have come together to organize and plan this event and ask Him to bless their efforts and the people they serve!
19 Scripture focus: Ephesians 6:10-11 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes."
20 Today SC hosts a Musical Theatre Day. We welcome 15 high schools to campus to experience workshops and matinee performance of SHE LOVES ME. Pray for those high schoolers experiencing Sterling College Musical Theatre for the first time and for all the SC students involved in the workshops and the show.
21 The Maintenance and Grounds department has been impacted by several key personnel losses this year. Pray that the Lord would bless this vital department with the right staffing.
22 As students are nearing the end of the 2025-26 academic year, pray that the Lord would move in their lives and guide them back to Sterling College for the 2026-27 academic year.
23 Pray that students and parents would be moved and blessed to fulfill their financial responsibility for their student account.
24 Tonight is the President's Circle event. Thank God for the leadership of President Scott Rich and for all those who pray regularly for Sterling College.
25 The Spring Band Concert is tomorrow at 3:00pm. Pray for the musicians and the audience to be open to the soul-stirring music they will produce and hear.
26 Scripture focus: Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
27 Pray for the mental and emotional health of the students as the stress of academics can increase toward the end of the year.
28 Pray for our alumni and parents who are in education and are wrapping up their school year.
29 Pray for our mission teams as they prepare, both spiritually and financially, to travel and serve following next month's graduation ceremony.
30 Ask God to bless our seniors by allowing every detail to fall into place so that they may graduate with as little stress as possible.
