Noon Dismissal on Wednesday

A friendly reminder that Wednesday, February 3, is a NOON dismissal day for faculty training and collaboration.
There will also be NO EXTENDED DAY in the afternoon on February 3.

Sunday Night Snow?

If the weather forecasts are correct, there is a potential for some snow, wintery mix, and ice heading our way on Sunday night. We will monitor early Monday morning conditions and communicate via St M text alert should any info need to be relayed.
News about inclement weather decisions is always communicated in these ways:
  • Parents notified by text message
  • Announcement posted on the St Facebook/Twitter/ Instagram pages, plus the school website home page, stmschool.net
  • Recorded message on the School telephone answering machine, 272-3514
  • Broadcasted on WWBT Channel 12's School Closings list
  • Best efforts are made to announce the decision by 6 a.m. on all information outlets

Q2 Report Cards

January 20 was the end of the second quarter. There will be no winter teacher conferences. If you have questions or concerns about your child's progress, please reach out directly to the teacher to schedule a virtual time to connect.
REPORT CARDS:
  • Lower School report cards were sent home with K-5 students on Friday, January 29. Please check student backpacks.
  • Middle School second quarter grades may be viewed digitally via PowerSchool.

Student Absences and Late Arrivals/Early Dismissals

For student late arrivals or early dismissals, please inform Mrs. Godwin (Middle School office) or Mrs. Bridgforth (Lower School office). Parents should park in a visitor's spot and then call the office so our staff can arrange for the student to head to class or to their car.

Also, if a student is going to be absent due to non-COVID related illness, a ski trip/sports/family travel, or for any other reason, parents MUST email Mrs. Godwin or Mrs. Bridgforth in the front offices.
Please note that virtual learning is ONLY provided for students with COVID-related issues.

Auction Items:  Will You Help?

We are excited about St M's upcoming Auction, presented virtually on Friday, March 26, at 7 p.m.
Parent donations are critical to the success of the auction. Can we count on your help?
  • Would you be willing to put together a themed basket? (Think kids cooking or art or outdoor fun or family games? And for the adults, baskets/coolers of adult beverages, or special items for the home, or personal care. Don't forget the pets!)

  • Would you be willing to partner with another family to contribute an auction adventure? (Think tickets to an Escape Room, RVA TukTuk, a James River raft trip, a pool party, a game day BBQ, a golf outing or passes to Top Golf or Drive Shack, fishing or boat excursions.)

  • Support our RVA Restaurants by donating gift cards to local favorites.

  • Do you have a vacation home or own a timeshare? Trips are a HUGE hit!
Please click the button below to donate items to this year's event. Visit our Auction page to learn more! Contact Anne McCoy with any questions.
