We love getting feedback! We also enjoy sharing it when writing tutors make a positive impact on their fellow Spartans' academic success. Here are some of the student comments from tutoring appointments in the spring semester.
"This was my first session with Sam, and he provided very helpful feedback on my research paper. I was feeling anxious about whether my paper was missing information or if my writing was strong enough, and Sam gave constructive guidance that really helped me feel more confident. I appreciate the support and thoughtful feedback!"
"Cecilia was very helpful in clarifying unclear sentences and improving the overall flow of the paper. She also helped find grammatical errors that I missed."
"Val is the best. I don't have the words to describe how good it is for me to take tutoring classes."
"Michael was excellent with the help on my thesis, through his wonderful help I was able to get solid help in building my thesis project from a simple semester paper into its current and final form. He was so helpful he will have a place in my acknowledgement section of my thesis. I would have him again as a tutor if I were still enrolled as a student instead of graduating."
"Jenna provided really helpful resources and advice, and I really appreciated her suggestion of reading my writing out loud, which flagged up a few sentences to edit for clarity."

Calling All Graduate-Level Students |
|

|
Graduate writing is different from undergraduate writing, and writing is a communication skill that you need to master regardless of your major. Do you know all the parts of a graduate research paper? How to write an abstract or literature review? How to find articles based on your research question? How to seamlessly integrate sources into your writing?
The Writing Center is here to help! We have partnered with the College of Graduate Studies to help you gain the resources and skills you need to improve your writing skills as you enter into advanced study of your field/discipline.
