KL2 Alum Awarded NIA Grant for Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Research |
Alzheimer's disease presents immense challenges for both patients and their loved ones. Addressing this need, KL2 alum Jacquelyn Benson, PhD, was recently awarded funding from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to test a peer-delivered support intervention designed to reduce psychological distress for family caregivers.
This funding is a huge milestone, and we are thrilled to watch this alum advance in her research career and make a meaningful impact on human health. Dr. Benson joined the KL2 Career Development Awards Program in 2022, expanding her knowledge and developing vital skills, and has since authored dozens of publications. She credits the KL2 program and resources from the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences for her success.
