The DOE NNSA SSGF seeks and supports students pursuing a Ph.D. in areas of interest to stewardship science, such as materials under extreme conditions, nuclear science, or high energy density physics. Stamps Health Services is offering its final free Fall Flu Clinics for all currently enrolled students Nov. 9 in the Joseph Brown Whitehead Building from 3-7 p.m. Influenza (flu) viruses typically spread in fall and winter, with activity peaking between December and February. Getting vaccinated now can lower your chances of getting the flu. Every flu season is different, and the substantial health impacts can vary widely from season to season, with some flu seasons being worse than others. Your best defense is vaccination, which provides protection from flu and its potential complications.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer—the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. QPR is designed to help any and everyone learn how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, offer hope, and help save lives. Participants will learn how to intervene with an individual at-risk, persuade them to get help and guide them to the appropriate resources.
