Building a Foundation for Our Community – Celebrating 25 Years

Steve Alley became the first president of the Community Foundation of Howard County in 1992. (The Foundation was incorporated on March 6, 1991.) In recognition of the Community Foundation of Howard County’s 25th anniversary celebration, we asked Steve to reflect on his six years with the Foundation. He currently is the managing partner of Ekstrom Alley Clontz & Associates, a management consulting firm that advises philanthropic foundations, organizations and individuals. Go to article.

Indiana Art Treasures and Haan Mansion Museum Supported by Endowment Fund

As long-time supporters of music and fine art, Gene and Linda Marshall have recently shifted their interest to focus on Indiana art. This focus includes supporting the Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art and the large collection of Indiana art treasures displayed at the Museum. Go to article.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Deadline Changes

2017 application due Aug. 29, 2016

The Community Foundation Serving Howard, Carroll and Clinton Counties is adjusting the timeline for selecting the Lilly Endowment Community Scholars. The online Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship application will be available to 2017 graduates Aug. 1, 2016. Completed applications are due to the Community Foundation Aug. 29, 2016.
