A.G. Rhodes Breaks Ground at Cobb Campus
We are proud of the success thus far of our $7 million Legacy of Care capital campaign. The campaign will enable us to offer even greater skilled nursing and memory care to the Cobb and greater Atlanta communities. We recently broke ground at our Cobb campus and construction is underway. And watching progress has become a favorite activity with our elders!
Visit www.agrhodes.org/legacyofcare for updates or to support the campaign.
Brushfire: Igniting Transformation in Our Nation's Nursing Homes
A.G. Rhodes CEO Deke Cateau gave a moving keynote presentation, "Igniting Transformation in Our Nation's Nursing Homes," at a recent conference hosted by Pioneer Network. Take a look.
Notable and Newsworthy

As one of Atlanta's largest nonprofit organizations—and as one of only a few nonprofit nursing home providers in the state—an important part of what we do at A.G. Rhodes is advocating for those we serve. Here are a few recent media opportunities that we've participated in to help share our mission with diverse audiences.

Employee Spotlight: José Jno Charles,

LPN

For José Jno Charles, caregiving comes naturally. Born and raised in the Commonwealth of Dominica in the Caribbean, José fondly recalls being a young child and helping to care for her great aunt who was blind.

“I vividly remember those days when I was helping her and it felt so good,” she said. “I think that’s where it started.”

Congratulations Class of 2022!

Congratulations to our Class of 2022 High School Graduates! These young men and women are the children of our Care Partners and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments. Special congratulations goes to Egheosase Odiase as the recipient of the A.G. Rhodes Scholarship Award. We wish them all well as they embark on new adventures!
Happenings in Our Homes
Summer fun continues with a July 4th celebration and making patriotic tie-dye shirts. And of course, no summer is complete without watermelon! We also welcomed volunteers from the Fulton County Voter Education and Outreach organization who came to provide information on upcoming elections and register any interested residents.

In Memory Of...
Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Irene Bostic and Alma Carey, two A.G. Rhodes residents who recently passed away. Linda Ann Williams, goddaughter of Irene Bostic, had these words: "She was such a sweet-spirited lady and we at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church loved her so very much. We will miss visiting her at A.G. Rhodes."
If you have a loved one who was an A.G. Rhodes elder who recently passed away, email us at communications@agrhodes.org if you would like to include his or her name and link to the obituary in the next issue.
