Room Draw: The annual Room Draw process will begin soon for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Room Draw is the process by which students select housing for the following academic year. Students should review all details and deadlines on the Housing Portal and plan accordingly. Important dates and information will be emailed directly to students, so be sure to encourage them to stay on top of their email.

FAFSA & CSS Profile: The deadline to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS Profile is April 20, 2026. The CSS Profile is used to determine eligibility for Haverford Grant funds. The FAFSA is required for all federal grants and loans, including the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG), and the Federal Direct Stafford Loan Program. - Spring Break: Scheduled for March 9th–13th, this is a much-needed break for our students. Encourage them to plan ahead for travel or relaxation, especially if traveling by air.

Entrepreneurship Program: Before the start of the spring semester, students, including Carter Rostron '27 and Jolie Zink '29, participated in a seven-day intensive on coding and AI piloted by local tech company FSH Technologies' co-founder, Lilly Chen, and her team of FSH engineers, including Ahmed Haj Ahmed '26. Three students including Carter and Jolie also accepted internship offers with FSH Technologies as a result of this experience. If your student is interested in getting involved with the Entrepreneurship Program, they should reach out to Shayna Nickel, director of Haverford Entrepreneurship Program.

Our families made a remarkable impact, accounting for over 20% of all gifts, with baseball leading the way in parent participation. Our students also stepped up to the challenge; field hockey had the most student donors, and fencing had the highest senior participation. Thank you to all who made this challenge a success!

| From our beautiful arboretum, with its a 6:1 tree to student ratio, and to our academic spaces and student gathering spots, this video tour offers a glimpse into daily life at Haverford. Led by Eshal ’26 and Greg ’27, it highlights the places where your student lives, learns, and connects.

| Conducted by the CCPA, this report highlights the post-graduation plans of our newest alumni. Members of the class launched careers with 173 unique employers and continued their education at 56 graduate and professional schools.

What to know about this stage of your student’s journey.

First-Year: Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
Individual counseling, group therapy, and wellness workshops to help students manage stress and maintain mental health are available on campus through Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). If your student is struggling, remind them that they’re not alone, and help is available. You can also check out CAPS website for tips on managing stress and combating winter blues.
Sophomore: Major Declaration
Your student must declare their major by April 17th. It’s a big milestone in their academic journey! Encourage your student to make an appointment with their academic advisor to discuss potential majors and paths forward. Sophomore Declaration Hub →
Junior: Career Resources
Your student should be preparing for their summer internship. The Center for Career and Professional Advising (CCPA) is offering resume workshops, interview preparation, and networking opportunities to help students navigate the competitive application process. Students can also access resources on Handshake, the career portal.
Senior: Senior Class Gift
As seniors enter their final semester, the Senior Class Gift invites students to reflect on their time at Haverford and give back to the place that helped shape them. This year's senior class gift officers, Abby Litchfield '26 and Max Jones '26, are helping oversee a yearlong campaign and hosting special programs for the Class. Follow the class’s progress →
