A Family's 40 Year involvement with Bowl For Kids' Sake makes a BIG difference
Eusebia Sanderson first heard about Bowl For Kids' Sake (BFKS) 40 years ago when she worked at Bellsouth. She was approached by her supervisor to help coordinate and recruit teams to participate in BFKS. A bowler, herself, Eusebia was a natural fit for this role. As Eusebia became more familiar with Big Brothers Big Sisters, she realized that the program was something that her own sons could benefit from. Two of her sons were matched with Bigs, who have a great relationship with their Big Brothers even today.
A deeper involvement in Bowl For Kids' Sake came when Eusebia's brother died in 2003. BFKS was something that her family had always bonded over and participated in and it was a natural fit to honor her brother by holding an annual "Sanderson Memorial Bowl." Many of her family members participate, from young grandchildren and nieces and nephews, to Eusabia's own mother who is on a team of ladies who are all over 85. For 40 years Eusebia has been a strong and valued supporter of BFKS and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and we couldn't be more thankful!
