The social media landscape is constantly evolving, and we’re here to help you stay ahead. With emerging platforms like Threads and Bluesky mimicking the design and function of more established ones, like X, the competition for followers and attention is fiercer than ever. We’ve been closely monitoring the trends and analyzing the data to recommend the best strategy for the highest return on investment.

Here’s what our analytics are showing:

X (formerly Twitter):

Client engagement on X has dropped off and follower growth is nearly nonexistent. The platform seems to focus more on ads and paid subscriptions now, which might not be the best fit for your business goals and objectives. Unless you strongly prefer otherwise, we recommend shifting focus to other platforms and discontinuing posts on X.

Bluesky:

This platform is a new and growing alternative to X but with fewer ads and more focus on personal connections. It’s still pretty small (as of January 2025, BlueSky had around 23.2 million users compared to X’s 650 million), but it’s getting attention fast. We suggest securing your company’s handle on BlueSky to protect your brand. You don’t need to start posting yet, but it’s a smart move to save your spot.

Threads:

This platform is a bit more complicated, as it’s a Meta platform and tied to Instagram - deleting one means deleting both. However, you can discontinue posting at any time. Threads could be a great option for testing quick, text-based posts, especially if your audience is already on Instagram.
