Dear Traveler,
As the sun sets over the forests of Transylvania County, a shadow falls. In that creeping darkness, what unknown perils may lurk between the dusk and the moon rise? In a word? Me. My mountain bike is freshly serviced, my cape newly starched, and one of my favorite creatures of the night invited me to share his hotel room (the Wolfman is an avid fly fisherman, by the way). What could I say, but yes? It’s my favorite month in my favorite Transylvania. And I, for one, am thrilled to be here.
Where else but Brevard can you find great adventure amidst the most spooktacular seasonal splendors -- from pumpkins, pottery, and pale ales to tricks, treats, and trails. It’s the kind of excitement that really gets the blood pumping. And I look forward to being there for every drop of. . . fun. In the meantime, night is coming. I must summon my familiars to run out for new gear so I can hit the trail for a little evening ride and maybe a bite for dinner. Takeout, perhaps.
Until we meet again . . .
-Count Adventurist (bwah-ah-ahhhh)
